MOSCOW, Dec 29 (PRIME) – The government may reconsider indexation of pensions to working retirees, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday agreeing with the proposal of head of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov.
"I think you are absolutely right that this is an issue requiring additional consideration," Putin said.
According to Shmakov, some retirees quit their jobs after their pensions stopped to be indexed, and the budget lost about 500 billion rubles.
